Lucy's 3rd Month - Dec. 17th to Jan 17th

On Dec. 19th, my dad's mother, my grandmother, Ruth Wilson, went to be with the Lord.  She is pictured in my last post.  We are so thankful to have had Thanksgiving to spend time with her.  It was a difficult week for my dad and his family but it was nice spending that time with them.
The Lord blessed us with a month of respite.  A much welcome change and it couldn't have come at a more perfect time than during Christmas.

It was the week before Christmas and of course we were busy, running around, making last minute preparations.  We didn't have any Dr's appt's, so we were able to just enjoy being together as a family.

At Jason's mom's for Christmas:

Ella is eating a half eaten cookie Santa left! Who knows what kind of germs he's carrying around!  Love that pose too :) I know what career is NOT in her future!

Lucy got a pop-up book from Ella Grace - I think it was her favorite present!

We do quite a bit of traveling during Christmas. This is at Jason's grandparents for Christmas lunch. We were able to enjoy it in their NEW HOUSE in Pleasant Grove. What a blessing!  Their last home was destroyed in the April 27th tornado.

Then we loaded up and headed to Tuscaloosa for Christmas dinner with my mom and her family.

I think this barbie dress was Ella's most beloved gift of all of Christmas! Oh - if only I had a video camera to capture her reaction!

The Day after Christmas, Jason's Dad, Poppy, came to see what Santa had brought.

Of Course, the next few days meant lots of Christmas clean-up! We found this to be the best way to be productive while comforting Lucy.  She had an upper respiratory/ear infection.

We got the results back on our first set of genetic tests (for Kneist and Ehlers-Danlos) - ALL NORMAL.

 THIS MONTHS BIG MILESTONES:

We had a wonderful but unexciting New Years.
   - Lucy laughed out loud for the 1st time!
   - She is able to sleep flat on her back now without having reflux.
   - She likes to lay on her play mat and kick and bat at toys!

Ella loves to kiss her on the head and read her books.  She is such a sweet sister!  They watch the Baby First channel together.

   - Lucy is holding her head up better.  She still needs support but she's doing GREAT!
   - She doesn't like: Her car seat, tummy time, or being cold at all!
   - She is drinking 5oz occasionally, but still normally taking between 2 - 3.5oz.
   - She is sleeping for longer periods of time, but still not through the night.

She is such a HAPPY, SWEET, BEAUTIFUL baby.  Mommy just wants to eat her up!

Lucy turned 3 months today. Its not a day to celebrate though. 3 months means my maternity leave is up and I have to go back to work. We put her in the same day care as Ella Grace, Covenant Classical in Trace Crossings. They are wonderful there! I had a lot of anxiety about leaving her, but they made me feel at ease.
